The Sufi Shrine Dargah Sharif is located at Ajmer, Rajasthan, India, and it is on the Maqbara (grave) of the Saint MoinudinChisti.
This Dargah is visited by all sections of people, which include apart from members of Muslim community also those who belong to Hinduism and other religious orders. Large number of visitors pours in every day to this location and it is considered an important tourism spot recognized by Ajmer Tourism Development. People also consider that the Khwaja is the protector of poor section among people or Gharib Nawaz.
The Dargah has a marble dome in the middle of its courtyard, which is surrounded by silver platform. It is the firm belief of the devotees visiting this Durgah that the Khwaja of the shrine gives blessings and wish fulfils to those who make sincere prayers with good heart. Millions of devotees come to this Dargah, offer rose and jasmine flowers to the Khwaja, particularly when this Dargah celebrates Urs Ajmer Sharif every year for 6 days in the month of Rajab of Islamic Calendar. This celebration is done in allegiance with the six day prayer in seclusion done by the revered Khwaja, before he left for heavenly abode.
